How To Get Lower Scores And Admiring Looks From Your Friends With These Golf Swing Basics

Playing golf is a game that many people enjoy. While many enjoy playing it, not that many are actually good at it beacuse they ignore the golf swing basics that make playing so much more enjoyable.

There are many aspects that you have to master in order to be a good golfer. You need to master the short game, playing out of the sand, fairways, and of course the tee shot.

Using the driver is something that most beginners approach with trepidation and for good reason, it is the easiest club to get into trouble with.

It has been proven that for every 6 balls struck of the tee 2 will finish in the water and another two will be lost in the trees.

If you don’t have any positive practice regimes in golf, there’s a good chance your driver will end up bent around the nearest tree after every drive.

So how can you master the perfect drive? Let’s look at a few golf swing basics to help the cause.

The first essential step to take is to tee the ball up higher, a lower tee leads to a smothering of the ball, you want to sweep it off the tee.

Many golfers will put it right on the ground and basically negate the purpose of having a tee. When you put it up higher, you make it easier to get under the ball. Getting under the ball properly will allow you to get the ball up in the air.

We’ve all had those tee shots that bounced off the ground about 10 feet in front of us. Many of those can be avoided by getting the ball up higher on the tee.

Secondly make sure you position the ball correctly, for a driver is should be just inside your front foot, not in the middle of your stance.

For a driver you want to sweep the ball off the tee putting it in the middle of your stance makes this impossible.

This couldn’t be further from the truth. When you move the ball more towards your front foot, this allows you to swing up on the ball. When you hit the ball from the bottom it allows you to get the ball up in the air.

That in turn allows you to get more distance on the ball. Over time this will increase as you swing becomes more efficient.

Another area to pay attention to is that you are placing the clubface squarely to the ball.

If this happened there would not be so many golfers searching through the woods for their ball.

Hold your club up squarely in front of you to check if the clubface is square to the ball.

If you practice these swings tips and incorporate them into your game on the range you should soon see your scores tumbling on the course.
